Fund more from the clients you already have, keep the files you currently refer away, and take processing and compliance off your desk so the hours go to conversations.
Most brokers try to increase income by finding new clients, which is the most expensive lever. The cheaper ones come first. Work the database: renewals belong to whoever calls first, and a client who hears from you once a year refers. Serve five or six referral partners properly instead of twenty badly. Keep the files you currently refer away, the self employed client, the investor with a fifth door, the commercial file, because each one is income and a client who stays.
Then remove the ceiling. Every broker hits a point where hours run out before income does. Past that point, income only rises if processing, compliance and hard files move to people and desks built for them, and the recovered hours go to calls that fund files.
Track nine numbers weekly so you know which lever is working. The full guide sets out the five levers between ten million and fifty million a year.
The brokers here who grew from ten million to fifty did not add hours. They moved processing, compliance and hard files to head office and the Deal Desk, kept the files they used to refer away, and protected two blocks a week for the calls that fund files. We provide that infrastructure and the nine numbers to track it. The book is yours.
