Set up short sequences in the CRM for enquiries, applications in progress, annual reviews and partner updates, each within the CASL consent window and with an unsubscribe on every message.
Four follow up sequences cover most of a broker's week. An enquiry sequence: three or four messages over the first weeks after someone asks a question, each offering a call, stopping inside the six month implied consent window unless they opt in. An application sequence: gentle nudges for outstanding documents, which saves more hours than any other automation. An annual review on the funding anniversary. And a monthly note to referral partners on what changed at the lenders.
Every automated message is a commercial electronic message under CASL, so each needs your identification, a working unsubscribe and a consent record behind it. A CRM built for this does it automatically; a generic email tool leaves it to you.
What not to automate: the renewal call, the hard conversation about a decline, and anything a client would notice was a template. Automation earns the time for those; it does not replace them.
