Both are FSRA approved and lead to the same Ontario Level 1 licence. REMIC is slightly cheaper online at $358; Mortgage Professionals Canada starts at $399 and offers a five day in class option.
Both REMIC and Mortgage Professionals Canada are FSRA approved, and both lead to the same Ontario Level 1 mortgage agent licence. FSRA and brokerages treat them identically, so the choice comes down to price, format and how you like to study.
As listed in October 2026, REMIC charges $358 online, $365 for a live webcast and $445 in class, lists about 47 hours of study, and runs a three hour, 50 question exam with a 60 percent pass mark and a second attempt available. Mortgage Professionals Canada charges $399 online with an e text and $429 for in class, virtual or online with a printed text, lists about 40 hours, gives six months of access and runs a 50 question exam with a 60 percent pass mark. Its in class option is five consecutive weekdays.
If price matters most, REMIC online is the lowest of the two. If you want a fixed weekday or evening class schedule, both offer live options. CMBA Ontario, at $365 in every format, and Humber Polytechnic are the other two approved providers worth comparing.
